Simone Biles
Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s only female gymnast ever to earn 4 gold medals. She also claimed the world championship for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles as well as her younger sister Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area) were raised there. Simone was first able to show an interest in gymnastics when she was a six-year-old on a field trip to school at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach over the following eleven years. Biles received a silver medal in vault, as well as a gold medal on the floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She began participating in the elite level of competition. In less than two years, she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Her consistency, her vivacious character and her high level of challenge during her four eventsvault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercise -- set her out from the rest of the athletes.
