Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 in Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was one of the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. Her father was interested in theatre at an early stage. While he was a students in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several performances. While stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he received his induction into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. They got married in the year 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter along with his wife quit the Air Force in the year 1957, when they enrolled Walter at Tulane University. Walter was recruited to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to assist on the stage of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of a local children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou established the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted six years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
